an endless story...
Stories from the Middle Kingdom, as I like to call them anything related to the Wuxia action movies of the era, only that this time. After how much I fell in love with the Story of Blade & Soul I wasn't able to continue playing that game for various reasons the aesthetics and setting of ancient China is something that I really wondered about since I was a child and I was longing for many years to continue a similar story.
Enter Thunderbolt Fantasy!!
Chinese folklore was first glimpe into Asia culture when I was a kid then continuing with Japan and all the Otaku world I love so much these days....
But this.... what a wonderful experiment that really shocked me as I was expecting anime and not ....walking and talking puppets??? in an art as old born in the XVII century in China as a way to entertain people
The story follows many stories of ancient chinese folklore with different depictions of ancient china, makai and demonic worlds, and an incredible swordplay mixing real action movement of the Super Sentai shows but translated into smaller puppets, still you gonna see A LOT of practical effects!!!
I've been watching this alongside the Fate/Universe stuff lately specially when I'm idling and not breaking my head making certain games work!! it always brings an incredible smile to my face. In fact...it was thanks to Fate/Zero and learning that Nitroplus had this other show up their sleeves that made me discover it!!, if you see anything related to Nitroplus please watch it its totally worth it and they never dissapoint!!!
Still I have to warn you that the show is a little bit slow to pickup pace in the first season until around episode 6~7 or so, so be patient as they will require to introduce a lot of characters in Chinese and Japanese names, in fact I still have difficulties remembering the names. So try to stick around until Season 2 and watch it too.. I believe you will be greatly surprised for this one!
CAT OK the show is great and we are having a blast with it but could you please STOP SCREAMING EVERYTIME THERES A FIGHT GOING!?!?

Fate 2006 is still great to this day even with the old visuals and some minor lore discrepancies.

Sunday Blues?
Feeling a little bit down lately? something this menhera can recommend you is to watch EATMAN if you feel like getting lost in a cool anime with a somber mood, from 1997 and based on the manga of the same name we have the wanderer Bolt Crank able to eat anything made of metal and creating weapons from it.
The whole concept is very strange at first but I promise it will grow over time as the situations he faces in a post apocaliptic world are very relatable, the anime is from BandaiVisual/Emotion so we are talking quality stuff here, either way heres the first full first episode
This anime in particular is one of those I keep coming back to and rewatch when I want to evade myself from the insanity around me or to be able to sleep, the ending theme "Walk This Way" was actually the previous name of this blog too.

Cute Stuff for a change?
I was never a huge fan of romcoms but I must make an exeption for roshidere aka 時々ボソッとロシア語でデレる隣のアーリャさん aka "Alya speaks her feelings in russian" I finished watching it this last december from the last season I think in a very long time havent seem an anime with very cute character design and incredible clothing coordination (everyone is so well dressed!!!).
The story is typical high school romcom comedy but characters like Alya and Syuo really carry a lot the show, theres also a manga and a Season 2 is coming out this year for the anime series.
So we have this girl called Alya transfer student from Russia that is very very Tsundere and tryhard but doesnt dare to say things up straight, instead just mumbles in russian when shes annoyed for something which is most of the show as shes surrounded by a very crazy cast, I was surprised they actually rehearsed the russian talk with proper pronountation
If you wanna watch something to kinda shutdown, disocnnect and just see sillyness around its a recommended show

20/Years Later
Well let's reactivate the Anime section talk about more happier stuff shall we?
In the recurrent topic of this blog celebrating more 20th anniversaries this time its the turn of the Fate/Stay Night,I must admit that even back then and during ALL these years till today I had never watched the anime or played the visual novel (shock!!),
so leaving the thing unwatched for so long turned out to make the anime age like fine wine, I started to watch a couple weeks ago and It has been a very soothing experience for a very stressed cat.
Like a fine wine you left to age during 20 years, Studio Deen really made a very cute rendition of the characters and a very soothing soundtrack and mood, let's stay in the night? let's take a walk across the empty park at night and free up our mind of all the stress around?
