Open Source is Anti-Free(anything)
Brian Lunduke recently made a video doing a review of all the open-source communities overall and how all these supposedly projects that are 'welcoming' any kind of support as soon the contributor is not aligned eith their views, no matter the amount of contributions this person made, this person will be kicked off of the project and blocked forever if their political views arent extreme left.
Having lived this on my own very recently I can agree with these points, as long you are a bluepilled NPC that will dance to the project owners opinions like a little clockwork commie monkey you will be always welcome (bonus points if you are also black, muslim, faggot or a tranny as real women arent welcomed either), but as soon you begin to ask questions you will become unconfortable, you will begin to get isolated and ultimately blocked without being able to defend yourself or your points and criteria. If you are in a similar situation, listen to your gut feeling, chances are you are in a very unwelcoming environment.
It doesnt have to be a small fan project such as console emulators such as PCSX2, RetroArch, Dolphin, etc. or even an even smaller project like newserv like the one we use here, but also is happening across any big projects that are actually critical programs and operating systems being used in critical situations handling millions and billions of dollars in the biggest enterprises
From Mozilla, to C++, to your favorite Linux distro (Debian, Arch, Nix, Suse, etc), to Microsoft, Oracle, Google, etc. It doesnt matter, you will be censored/fired/discriminated if you arent a fucking commie.
So there you have it! so much for cooperation and happy-go-lucky world!
But cat... if the program is still useful why do I care if the owner is a commie or whatever??
Because this will just breed mediocrity, sooner or later the good developers will take notice and begin to leave
Your software will begin to become of worse quality (Microsoft Teams or Windows 11) and from here
(due to lack of testing/validation and more eyes auditing the code)
The project will get stale because the commie mantainers cannot keep up with the bug reports, they will burn out and will throw everyone under the bus leaving the project abandoned too with a lame excuse that they are depressed, suicidal or whatever...(i wonder why?)
and rinse and repeat...
In the meantime You, me and everyone will have even shittier computer systems and programs (like good communists do, everyone the same in poverty!!)
But its okay because we've saved from very very dangerous nazi right-wingers asking questions so totally worth it!
